Episode Guide

Episode 1

First through the Embarrassing Illnesses doors was 55-year-old Nick. Having suffered with painful haemorrhoids since his early teens, it was only now that he could face the shame to see a doctor. Next up was 24 year-old Alex, sent in by his partner with a case of Athlete’s Foot that he’d had for over two years! His girlfriend had finally had enough of sharing her boyfriend (and her bedroom!) with his ‘stilton’ like condition, declaring that it was ‘Me or the Toe!’

Also through the clinic doors came Charlotte, who was not sure what was normal ‘down below’ there was 20-year-old Victoria with a worrying case of inverted nipples, as well as Nicky who suffered from excessive gas. Last in to the clinic was 46-year-old Dave, whose skin tag brought a somewhat fishy suggestion from Dr Jessen.

The first week of surgery also saw the doctors take a detailed look at testicular cancer, so Dr Jessen headed down to Moseley Rugby Club to persuade the team to take matters into their own hands…

To the young woman who was constantly washing herself because she had a vaginal discharge. I had the same problem years ago and my doctor told me that because of constant washing away the natural lubricant of my vagina, my body had gone into overdrive to compensate so produced more discharge than normal. This was the advice she gave me and it worked but not for several months. 1. Only wash your vaginal area with water NOTHING ELSE, 2. Only wear cotton underwear. 3. Only use non bleached, non perfumed pads. 4. Wash your underwear in non bio washing powder. You can now buy cotton pads on the net and just keep them on your pants and they wash with the pants and/or buy unbleached pads that throw away, these you can get on the net as well. I also found not wearing any underwear some days was a great help but then long skirts were in fashion and I did it mostly in the house. Good Luck

It was wrong to recommend cosmetic surgery to the woman who was embarrassed by her labia. In the programme, who was most embarrassed, the patient or the consultant? Everybody is different. The patient is perfectly normal (down below). Please do not encourage other people to worry unnecessarily!
