The doctors are back meeting some of the patients from the Embarrassing Teenage Bodies series. With this week’s episode focusing on boys, the doctors are itching to find out whether Nathan’s Acne has cleared up, and whether Martin’s man-boobs have been given the heave-ho.

Varicocele

The docs have headed down to Newquay to find out what boys on a jolly by the seaside like to get up to. First through the tent doors is 17-year old Tom, who’s found a worrying lump on his testicle and wants Dr Dawn to check it out. The diagnosis is varicocele, an enlarged vein that is normally benign, but can impact on future fertility. Dawn packs Tom off to the fertility clinic to get things checked out.

Back on the beach Dr Christian is delivering some eye-watering advice to a group of unruly teenagers on the dangers posed by STIs, whilst 18-year-old Martin comes into the clinic with a condition that means he’s the only one not sunning himself on the beach that day. Dr Dawn’s diagnosis is gynaecomastia, or man-boobs, but whilst surgery can be an option, in Martin’s case the advice is just to wait and see if they disappear once puberty has finished.

camp

Dr Christian next goes above and beyond the call of duty by entering a teenage campsite. With everything from festering athlete’s foot to revolting skidmarks on display, these band of boys come with a health warning! Dr Christian packs their underpants off to the lab and there are some shocking results later on.

In the beach clinic, 17-year-old lifeguard Jack has rolled in with a bizarre condition called surfer’s ear. This occurs when someone is continually exposed to cold water, and leads to bony growths in the ear hole. It can be operated on, but earplugs are a much better solution to preventing the problem.

Surfers

With Christian still traumatised from his trip to the Newquay encampment, it’s left to Dr Pixie to make a house call to a group of teenagers whose alcohol consumption the night before was truly staggering. With the teens feeling pretty good about their overnight endeavours, they get a sobering wake-up call from Pixie about the dangers of liver disease, and are shocked to learn that most of them are still over the drink driving limit from the night before…

Totting up units of alcohol might seem taxing, but it’s nothing compared to 16-year-old Jonathan’s daily routine when dealing with diabetes. With his confidence low, Dr Christian sends him to meet Trinity Wildcats Rugby star Danny Sculthorpe, who has conquered his Type 1 diabetes and no longer lets it rule his life.

And finally there’s 16-year-old Nathan, whose acne has seen him withdraw within himself. A consultation with Dr Dawn sees Nathan prescribed a course of antibiotics and several weeks later his skin is showing signs of improvement, though the treatment is long term.

hi my name is shaun im 14 and my foreskin wont come fully back and its really tight and i also have a bent penis its starting to curve down and somtimes it really hurts i have looked on yor website and found some usefull information should i be woried can you help!!!!!!!!!

Little white spots are nothing to worry about. You will get zits in the area as well and blocked sebum ducts. Also expect the odd ingrowing hair which will cause a zit type spot. When the spot is broken a coil of hair will sprout out. I remove mine with tweezers to ensure that the spot heals up. Always wash the area after (and your hands). Pulling the foreskin back can be difficult the first few times. It has to be stretched. Given time the problem will correct itself. When the skin is pulled back, the glans will be very sensitive. Have you've ever had a blister on your hand/heel? When you peel the skin off, the new layer is very sensitive and particularly when it comes into contact with water. The same principle applies to the glans. It's not use to the air but will eventually calm down and be quite happy whether the foreskin is back or not. This "toughining up" process is important as it enables the glans to fight off normal day to day bacteria. Size is not important to most of us. It's not unusual to have a small willy when flacid or if it's cold. Some adults have the same issue about size. It's the errection size that can matter (when you are fully grown)The woman's love tube is only short anyway and the sensitive part is near the front – so don't panic. Having a long willy is for looks only and very often it is a cause of other problems for the owner (limp errection for example)A short willy could have an a good errection factor i.e 2 inches limp x errection factor of 4 = 8 inches. A 5 incher flacid may have an errection factor of only 1! Guys with 10 inchers etc a few and far between. So if you are over lengthed, be sensible and sympathetic to the other person as you could cause lasting internal damage. Be safe, be sure -always wear a condom!

Hey, i am 14 and only 5 foot tall. I have about a 4 or 5cm penis on flop. Which has some skin coloured 2mm or smaller lumps on (i have been circumcised). Am i normal (just still developing) or is something wrong with me? P.S. my mum and dad are only like 5ft 3

Hi my name's anthony and im 14 years old
Im quite sure that i have Fordyce spots on my penis and on my testicles. You can see them normally but they really are quite visable when my penis is erect.
i find it quite embarrasing, and would'nt dream of telling anyone. but after watching a few of your video's you say they will go away im interested to know how long it will take and is there anything i can have done to fully remove them. I also was going to say that there is a few other ones which im not so sure about, they are near the fordyce spots except they are a bit bigger. I acctually squeezed one once and pus came out. I dont know what you guys think i should do or if it will just go away on it's own.

please return me an e-mail i would be so happy if you could inform me with any advice. thanks. Anthony
