Asymmetric Breasts

Side view showing Asymmetric Breasts

It’s widely accepted that few women on the planet can boast a pair of identically sized breasts. In fact, slight asymmetry is considered the norm. However, while this anatomical nuance is of little concern to the majority of women, there are some for whom the size difference is so pronounced that it impacts heavily on their body image and can seriously affect their self-esteem. The term ‘Asymmetric Breasts’ usually refers to breasts that differ in size by at least one cup size, which may become noticeable during puberty as the breast tissue starts to develop. Subsequently, as the years progress, the asymmetry may become more obvious to the point were it is unflattering and even embarrassing for a woman. However, asymmetric breasts can be easily rectified thanks to the latest advances in cosmetic surgery, where the breasts can be corrected by either enlarging the smaller one with implants or reducing the larger one.

I'm 23 and I've been dealing with uneven breasts since I started growing them. My doctor at the time said that I would grow out of it, but here I am over 10 years later and the difference is severe. My right breast is a C. My left can't be more than a large A. It makes it really difficult to buy clothes, to be intimate with anyone or to have any self confidence what so ever. I'm a young adult. I want a normal life and my body makes me so insecure that I feel I can't have that. I wish surgery was an option for me…but I just can't afford it on my salary. Is there anything that I can do?

HI, i am 13 i have 1 breast slighter bigger then the other & the bigger boob has a bigger nipple then the other do you know anything i could do to reduce my nipple & my breast

hi, i used to have assymetric boobs, i would say at least 2 cup sizes different, i went to the doctors an he noticed the difference an sent of for a referral to see a surgeon, they turned me down so had to try again, eventually i got seen, the surgeon was rude an horrible to me, my nan an boyfriend noticed too, in the end i had surgey but i would say although theres an improvment theres still a cup size difference an the surgeon thinks thats the best he could do, i still get depressed an cant wear things i would like to an have given up hope now, although i have a bit more confidence than what i did have!

Ive got a quite big lump on my chest just under my coller bone ,i went to see my doctor about it but he said its justa bone that has popped out of place when i was doing exercise but its been quite a while since then and it still hasnt gone back in do you know what it could be ?

i've just read all the recent comments about asymmetry and sympathise with all. i'm 29 now and my boobs were disimilar to each other by approx 1 1/2 cup sizes until last year when i had macralane injected into them to even them up. since then my confidence and happiness has grown tremendously. i need a top up soon and it does cost 1-2k as its a treatment you can only get privately. however, it was worth every penny and it's definitely worth researching as an option.

I am 15 and my right boob is way huger then the other.I am always self concious and I hate it. I can't even go swimming because the bathingsuit makes my boobs look wierd. I am really scared and just want be normal

Hi. I have breast asymmetry in which my left breast is 3 cups smaller than my right breast. I just made 18 and feel very uncomfortable wearing things that girls my age wear. My friends often make remarks like "I dress like their grandma." My self-esteem has lowered over the years or ever since I started developing. I started developing at 8 years old and the difference in my breasts have been noticeable since then. Being that one breast is an A cup and the other is a D, I know reduction of the larger one is not the choice for me. I don't know what to do. Can someone please help me?

Hey, i am 13 and one of my boobs is definetly bigger than the other, i am a size 30B but my bra fits boath breasts so i dont think there a hole size diffrence but i still get self concious because i you can tell one is bigger than the other.
