Athlete's Foot
You might think that slouching on the sofa with a bag of pork scratchings, abstaining from all athletic pursuits, would render you immune from this fungal infection of the foot. However, this condition is not simply the preserve of the sportsperson, as it’s estimated that it athlete’s foot is present in between 15% – 20% of UK adult population. The infection is caused by a number of fungal species which you can typically pick up from communal areas such as pools, showers and changing rooms, or anywhere where you may walk around barefooted. Athlete’s foot can lead to intense itching, cracked, blistered or peeling areas of skin, redness and scaling. However, sprays, creams and anti-fungal powders can be used to treat the condition.

hi
i have athletes foot and ive tried everything over the counter but it just wont go is there another way of getting rid of it ?
I think you should soak your feet in lukewarm salted water it should help and then dry them well if that doesn't work that well you could add a little vineger to the solution.

Hi! I have had this problem over 10yrs. Only on the tops of some of my toes on both feet get extremely itchy, they are very dry and crack and also dry up and peel off. I have seen my doctor and he says its (egezema) excuse the spelling.
I have tried a few ailments but nothing seems to work. Please help.
Like in an earlier comment I have also been to see several gps on many occasions about my foot condition. I have small circle looking holes mainly on the heels of my feet and have had this condition for around 6 or 7 years. I have tried all the over the counter treatments and many different prescription treatments none of which have actually done any good but seem to make the condition worse. I haven't a clue what it is but it seems my doctors don't seem to know either as they just keep giving me more athletes foot treatments.
I am 15 years old and have a very serious case of athletes foot, my feet itch all the time, i itch so hard that they bleed. Its mostly in between my toes and my skin cracks open and its very stingy, sometimes i cant walk. i have lots of excess skin and is discolored. Its really effecting my personal life and i want to know how to get rid of it…as soon as possible.
I have really smelly feet and I travel a lot through airports, having to remove my shoes to go through security. When my feet get warm the soles turn white and slimey and give off an amonia smell. It is really off putting when I have to take off my shoes especially recently at a friends house when they requested. Can anyone help, i have tried lots of solutions?
