I have organised laser treatment for my Becker's Nevus and will post regarding the results – I am going to have the q-switched nd yag treatment and if this does not work I will try the C02 or erbium lasers which may be more effective but will also scar. To be honest though I'd rather have the scar. However, hopefully I won't need to consider that option will report on how nd yag goes.

My nevus is located on my left chest. I first noticed it when I was about 17. I can't stand it. I tried about 3 different laser treatment sessions and not one of them showed any change in the nevus. If anyone has this and it is a mid to dark brown don't even waste your money on the laser treatment. I've considered getting a tattoo placed over it to cover it up. Has anyone asked what the risks would be with a tattoo or have had a tattoo placed on theirs? Thanks.

Hi, i have been living with this Becker s nevus since the age of 8.
I have always problems on showing it to people as i feel extremely embarassed.
I would like to go to the beach and enjoy myself not thinking of my mark, but i cant.
I would lie to know if there nis any treatment i can follow and maybe through nhs.
Can you let me know if i have any chance to get rid of this awful thing?

I have a beckersnevus on my upper arm…i was so embarrased at high school at swimming becasue the other kids would see it and question it so i went ti doctors who then sent me ti hospital and i found out what the darker,slightly hairy patch of skin was. Eventually i had laser treatment on it for around 2 years ti try and reduce the hair growth and it worked. I have to make sure the darker skin dosnt get burnt though.

Howveer-im-20-year-old-female-and-it-looks-nothing-like-this,-it-is-just-a-brown-rash-on-my-chest-and-trunk-and-is-now-spreading-to-my-shoulders-back-and-neck.

Doctors-also-told-me-that-if-i-dont-protect-it-from-the-sun-it-will-scar-and-as-summer-is-here-i-cant-enjoy-it-for-fear-of-scaring.

i'm 32 and i've had becker nevus since i was 17 and didn't know what it was until i saw it on embrassing bodies last year,even my gp didn't know what it was,i tried shaving and even enquired about laser treatment-this proved too expensive,however i've been really really lucky as i've found a local beautican who specialise in male waxing and i now get it done monthly,i wish i'd discovered what bv was when i was younger,cause it held me back for so long!

i have quite a harry back, i do shave it which isn't a good idea but now at the age of 24 i find taking my top of in public embarrassing unless my girlfriend has shaven my back, and find it really uncomfortable when growing back, i'm really wanting to know if i can get laser treatment to kill the hair roots so they wont grow back?? i also have a tattoo on my back will this be a problem?? thank you

I have a palm-sized Nevus on my upper back. Every time I go to the pool or ocean, my friends point it out to girls and I am regarded as a freak. They call me 'patch.' I must hide myself from shirtless situations and even then, they often say that I have a hairy mole patch on my back and that I enjoy shaving it and growing it. It is quite embarrassing.
