Conditions
Chlamydia
Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the UK and is caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis. Sexually active men and women aged under-25 are most at risk of becoming infected. However, as there are often no symptoms of Chlamydia, many people who catch it remain blissfully unaware of the fact they have been infected, so it remains undetected. If left untreated, Chlamydia can spread to other parts of the body and ultimately cause fertility problems for both sexes. Non-specific symptoms of genital chlamydia among women include cystitis, change in vaginal discharge and mild lower abdominal pain. Men normally experience a urethral discharge from the penis. The UK has a national Chlamydia screening programme, which is both free and confidential, so there’s no excuse for not getting yourself checked out. Of course, you can also help yourself, by practicing safe sex and getting tested for Chlamydia every year until you’re 24. You know it makes sense!
A free online Chlamydia postal test for people aged under-25 is available in most areas. Go to www.freetest.me. for more details.

I am 27 years old, I have a 20 month child. I have had Chlamydia before when I was in my teens and had no symptoms for a long time and then suddenly got abdominal craps which felt like trapped wind and i got a cloudy discharge. I have never been aware of having Chlamydia again but recently i started getting the same cramping which statred after I had sex and now for a couple of months I have been getting a discharge but it not thick and cloudy like it was before, now it looks like snot! Sometimes its clear and sometimes its yellowish but it really does look like snot. Could this be chylamidia again and if so is there a chance that I have had it all this time even when I had my baby or could it be something else? The only person I have been intimat with in the last three years has been my baby's daddy.
my have been seeing my girlfriend for a year now and have had unprotected sex regularly throughout that period. she has had a complete sti check recently and is clear on everything. i have never been with anyone else while with my girlfriend so if she is clear, am i?
I have recently been treated for chalmydia and my parner hasn't had treatment yet and i have gave oral sex to him and he came in my mouth.does this mean i can get it again?
I have had three courses of antibiotics now for a water infection. I have no pain on urinating although my frequency of needing the loo has increased and my wee is cloudy. Now I have started feeling very sore when I wipe after weeing and also pooing, the soreness goes within seconds but it is eyewatering at the time. Should I go back to the docs or is it just a reaction to the tablets?

hi, i recently had sex with my boyfriend and when i went to the toilet after, i hurt. my discharge is also a funny texture but it has been like this for a while, before i had sex. its not like a liquid anymore, instead it goes into little balls and its quite worrying. i cant goto the doctors though because im too scared.
hi me and my boyfriend have just been treated for clamidia and although we haven't had sex i gave him oral twice within the first week, does this mean i can get it again??
It all depends if you have clamidia prior to your testing. If you did and have unprotected sex while taking treatment then the infection can be transmitted between both parties.
