Conditions
Enlarged Labia
Many women are born with larger or more noticeably asymmetric labia, just like other parts of the body come in different shapes and sizes. These lips of skin surround the vulval opening, and conditions such as Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, stretching in childbirth or irritation can cause enlargement. For some it makes no difference to their lives, but for others it undermines confidence, especially when it comes to relations in the bedroom. Labiaplasty is the surgical procedure used to reduce the inner labia, but this is seen as cosmetic and will not usually be available on the NHS. If you do have any concerns, it might be worthwhile to go and seek advice from your doctor.

Why is ONE side (left) of my vagina, close to the opening where you have intercourse swollen, tight and in pain after intercourse?
Hi I'm 16 years old and looking at all those pictures up there, my inner labia are bigger than any of those. I have had a few sexual relationships and no one has seemed to have commented on it but it gets me down so much. How much is it for an operation??
hello am 13 and i have the same problem how can i get rid of it? if i tell my doctor will he give me surgery?and will it be gone if i do get surgery?

Im 13and both of my labia are the same size but they protrude out of my vagina...:( it makes me feel awkward and uncomfortable even though it's normal.I'm scared that my future partners won't like it and will find it very unattractive (as I do ) nobody knows because my mom hates me because of my dad and Im living with my two half sisters and stepdad my mom makes me feel like a freak and puts me down whenever possible.
I also have the same problem I an 14 and currently do not have a boyfriend but I am worried when I do . Do you think he will say anything. It reAlly gets me down and I am scared to talk to my friends about it but my mum knows.
I am in my forties and have one labia bigger than the other one. I was always embarrassed by it until I met my fiance. He likes it and finds it very sexually attractive, I have now come to love it too. All vaginas are different and unless it is causing you physical discomfort you should try not to worry about it. We all find different things attractive.
I'm 43 and have had enlarged labia since i can remember. my mum had me feel like a bit of a freak when i was growing up as she said that their size wasn't normal. but i know now that it's completely normal and doesnt hinder sexual function at all though it can affect your sexual confidence. you have to remind yourself that labia come in different shapes and sizes just as penises do and learn to love your petals!
Hi i'm 16 years old and have problem down there... i feel really uncomfortable when walking, runing or wearing thight clothes,it hurts so i have to put it in properly.. i'm sceard to tell anyone.. i'm worried what my boyfriend will think or respondwhen he see it during sex.. sometimes i wish i was normal...

Hi, I have the same problem I'm 21 and a mum of twins! It dosent takeaway the pleasure but after sex sometimes it made me a bit sore that's not the case now! I used to be really shy about being naked in front of my boyfriend untill I learned that it's a completely normal thing you shouldn't worry everyone's looks different :) x
