Human Seminal Plasma Hypersensitivity
If you’re a woman diagnosed with Human Seminal Plasma Hypersensitivity, you might find yourself screaming to the Gods: “Why couldn’t I just have a peanut allergy?!” This is because HSPH is an overly complicated way of saying that you’re allergic to sex – or, to be more precise, semen. Allergic reactions may begin to occur within five to thirty minutes after intercourse, and could include genital itching, burning, and swelling. However, there is some good news. Firstly, it’s a rare condition. In fact, there have only been 100 confirmed cases. And secondly, desensitisation therapy (including administering allergy shots containing small doses of the male partner’s semen) requires the afflicted woman and her partner to have sex at least two or three times a week. ‘Every cloud…’ and all that.

OMG !! I would jst like to say reading this thread has been a god send and blessing to me although no doubt hell to you people !!
I honistly thought i was going insane and that i was a complete loonatic , i have been treated with thrush creams and presurys and i have had swobs but nothing has ever shown up on any test. I totaly love and adore my partner who i have been with now for 3 years, but fear to make love to him as it stings and itches more or instantly and is like bin dragged through nettles without pants when we finished. No amount of washing can stop the stinging cold water cannot take the pain away. I go to the bathroom try to force the sperm out of my body but it can itch for over 24 hours after sex, the last time we made love i had traces of blood dont know why ??? I am afraid if i dont put out for my partner on a regular basis he may go looking for love elsewhere. Im a bit concerned as to what i can do because im also allergic to latex.

I have had this problem since my husband had a vasectomy reversal 6 years ago…
We have been together 30 years never had any problems either before or after his vasectomy.
Its getting to be a vicious cycle now, as it hurts so much for many days that I have become very wary of sex, which of course doesn't help with arousal :o(
We are going to try condoms to see if they help.

Hello, I have a problem, when my Partner ejaculates inside me after a few hours I feel very sick, shacky and my breathing seems quite laboured, the symptoms can last for a couple of days, the only way to relieve it is to take some antihistamines, this has always been the case for around 20 years even with different partners, I have to make sure my Partner withdraws at the crucial moment which isnt much fun for both of us, have you ever heard of this problem before and is ther anything else I could do, thankyou for your help.
