Hydrocele
A Hydrocele is caused by fluid accumulating in a sac around the testicle. Around 1 in 10 male babies are born with the condition, which normally disappears without treatment during their first year. They can occasionally develop in older men, often as result of inflammation or an injury to the scrotum. They are not normally painful, and frequently do not require treatment. The main reason for concern is that the symptoms are similar to the swellings that can occur as a result of testicular cancer. As such, a swift visit to the doctor is advisable to rule out anything more serious. If treatment is found to be necessary, then it is frequently carried out by a small surgical procedure to remove the fluid filled sac, or sometimes through drainage of the excess fluid and injection of a thickening agent into the sac.

hello i have recently had a reoccurring hernia repair done in the left groin area 1st repair was done in may (2009)all went well until it ruptured again the 2nd repair was done end of jan (2010) couldnt go to the toilet for about 14 hours , then 3 days later the left testicle swelled up to bigger than a tennis ball and had a fever was told that i had a infection had anti biotics which took the swelling down but now the left testicle and under the scar seems to be quite hard and solid and the left testicle is hard and twice the size than the other 1 my gp said theres nothing to worry about just wait to see the surgeon again in march but im worried it is something else please can you advise me thanks

hey, im 14 and i have that enlarged lipia thing, my mum knows but its really embarrassing and im not confided at all and im way to scared to see a doctor, is there like a remidy or like a home thing i could use to make it go away? because i wasnt born with it it just happened?
im 23 ive read a few comments from other people, i seem too have a similar problem where i have white spots on my testicles and they do not cause pain but if you squeeze them you get a white goo coming out i too have had them for a couple of years??
