Ingrowing Pubic Hair
We’ve all heard of ingrowing toenails, but ingrowing pubic hair? Well, it does happen! And, more to the point, it can actually be quiet painful. This is when a pubic hair grows at an abnormal angle and eventually turns back into the skin. At this point it usually causes the formation of a pustule or papule, which subsequently becomes infected. A gentle dab of some mild antiseptic, such as tea tree oil, and a cessation of any shaving activities, may help to clear up the infection. However, if the ingrowing hair doesn’t improve after a few days, you should go and see your GP. Preventative measures are often best. For instance, when ‘manscaping’ or tending to the lady garden, it’s advisable to shave in the direction of the growth of hairs and to prepare your skin a good-shaving gel, oil or foam before taking to the area with a razor. It’s not a race, so take your time.

Hi Im a 16yo female, and I've been having this problem since the first time I shaved. I recently tried this to get rid of them.. After washing and drying, massage olive oil into the skin (or a mild lotion e.g vaseline intensive care/ cocoa butter or a lotion that is suitable for damaged skin or baby skin) Don't shave for a few weeks and you should notice progress! Just trim with scissors (for hygiene reasons). Im not sure what to suggest if you want it completely bald.. After 6 weeks mine cleared up.. not completely though, there are still one or two that are still sore because I picked at them quite a bit. Just moisturise lots and don't shave. Ooh and if you squeeze them, they get bigger and darker, and infect other areas, and they will take forever to heal.
I have thick and coarse hairs around my vagina.I regularly shave but they grow thicker and thicker. Is there a way I can get this area smooth for days.
I think I too have ingrown hairs on my bikini line. I have always had it professionally waxed, i am 31, but since I had IVF I think I am getting in grown hairs. It's like a lump, in the past 1 managed to find it's way out and then it was ok but these 2 are lumpy, anything I can do to draw them out or should I just got to the docs?
i have the same thing... wen t to the gyno, and he told me to put hot compresses on it and gave me an antibiotic for a week. Well, neither of these things helped. It looks like there is no hair in one spot, so i am assuming it is an ingrown hair. How do you get the hair out, when you cant even see it? thanks :)

I have ingrowing hairs on my legs. There not big and swollen like some peoples but they look like little blackheads when you look at them. Ive tried shaving, hair removal and waxing. As well as that i exfoliate every two days and it still doesn't get any better. My parents have started complaining because they have to buy me loads of products. This is so embarrassing because im going on holiday soon and i don't want to be stuck in jeans all the time. Has anyone got any advice on what i should do? xoxo

I'm a teenage girl and i choose to go fully bald with my pubic hair, this inst for a boy i just believe that i am less irritated without it. I do have a boyfriend and when we have sexual encounters i worry as the skin on my vagina at the top gets small red lumps and the occasional large one, I common make the mistake of popping one which does not help as it does tend to get larger, how can i rid of these awful things? Thankyou.
Hi if you feel the need tyo shave make sure you use plenty of soap of foam. dont shave against the hair but the other way instead this will reduce the amount of ingrowing hairs you get, you may not even get any as i dont
