Conditions
Lymphogranuloma Venereum
This might sound like the scientific name of a recently discovered species of deep sea jellyfish, but LGV is actually a sexually transmitted infection that, until a few years ago, was very rare in the UK and the rest of Western Europe. However, that situation changed in 2003 and 2004 when there were a series of outbreaks among gay men. LGV is almost exclusively transmitted sexually. The bacteria can be transmitted when infected mucosal surfaces (in men, the warm moist skin of the mouth, penis and rectum) come into contact with an uninfected person’s mucosal surfaces, during unprotected anal and oral sex, and fisting. LGV is actually a strain of Chlamydia. However, whereas a regular Chlamydia infection can be treated with a one-off dose of antibiotics for one week; LGV requires a 3 week course. If you want to avoid symptoms such as festering sores and ruptured, pus-filled glands, in and around the anus and groin, wear a condom!

about 2 months ago i noticed a layer of white skin on my vagina what looked like tissue paper when i wiped myself, when i wipe it away my vagina looks red and sore and looks like it has a couple of sores on it,im concerned,i suffer from thrush alot even when treated it comes back.please help
i have a small lump about the size of a pea on my labia, this appeared about 3 weeks ago, I had one last year but managed to squeeze it and it went away, this time there is no head to squeeze and the lump is shiny and only painful when I have been to the toilet and wiped. Initially I thought it came as I was run down and very tired but as it's been here so long I'm worried, friends says it's just a gland.I also have a tiny one which is just like a spot near it, I'm in my 40's and married.
Any advice would be gratefully received.thanks
I noticed two days ago that i have two small yellow sopts on the walls of my vagina. They are not itchy or painfull but the right side of my vagina looks a little swallon. The only time i notice that they are there is when i go to the toilet and have to wipe myself it stings a little but then goes away.
I have just started taking adcal-d3 calcuim tablets which was given to me by my midwife as all women are given them when they are pregnant. What could it be?
i have a solid lump on my labia which came up 1 week ago i didnt think much of it as i thought it would just be a spot but this has not gone down and i am a little curious as to what it could be. At first it was tender but now its just a lump.
Can you give me some advise?
thanks
