Conditions
Nail Psoriasis
This condition affects your nails, causing them to become pitted and discoloured. They can also grow in strange ways, leaving big gaps betwen the nail and the nail bed, and sometimes becoming thick, loose and separate. In then severest of cases, the nails can crumble away entirely. Most people who suffer from nail psoriasis also suffer from skin psoriasis, and the causes of both are similar, and have a genetic link. There are not currently any cures fro nail psoriasis, but there are treatments that can be used to mitigate against any additional symptoms, such as fungal infections of the nail. Gently trimming back the nail can reduce the appearance of unsightly growths, as will ensuring the nail doesn’t suffer any unneccesary damage.

I have discoloured toe nails on both big toes and also on a couple of other nails. The top of the nails are not attached to the nail bed, although the new growth always looks healthy, as they grow it changes. The skin on the soles of my feet often peels and I have to ensure that I moisturise my feet every day using a base oil with essential oils. I use a pumice at least 3 times each week. I have tried everyhting to get rid of this and my feet have more TLC than any other part of me!
I have all over body, hair, finger and toe nail psoriasis which at times can be very painfull. The finger and toe nails have got to be the worse to put up with as no creams ointments or oils have helped. I would be interested in any suggestions to alleviate this never ending problem.

i have a fungle infection on my big toe and it is not very nice i would liekot get rdof it but the doctores are usless and i wouldlike to no if i can get somthing for it?
I have had psoriasis on the soles of my feet since a bad athlete's foot infection when I was 11. I'm now 63 and have learned to live with it. My palms are OK. I use loads of moisturiser and sometimes treat my feet to vaseline inside polybags to get my feet soft. It's nice but the results don't last long. My husband sandpapers my feet for me about once a month and they look human again. My toenails are thickened and I have to saw them off very short and varnish them to hide their discolouration. They grow clawlike as well if I leave them too long. I understand that damaged skin invites psoriasis if you are prone to it and I must say that the skin round my fingernails has become quite dry since I went to a nail bar and the girl snipped my cuticles. I think that damaged them so I file my own nails now as I don't want to get psoriasis on my hands as well. My grandson has inherited it on his palms but not his feet.
Could you please tell me what treatment i could use for Poriosis in my toe nails. I would love to be able to wear nice sandles, instead of my toes covered all the time
Help
i am a 32 yr old man with ver bad finger nails that leave only the nail bed, i have been told its lichen planus and that there is no cure however i am fed up with having to pull the nails out of the base to stop the infections, it hurts like hell please tell me there is something that can be done and that the doctors i ave seen so far are wrong, my job is public based and it is embrassing and stressful having to hide bloody/pussy fingers and even more stressful sitting there of an evening trying to make them presentable. thanks
My main problem is that i have pure white toe nails. I dont know if it is a fungal infection or if it is due to me doing point work in ballet.. :|
Help please!!
I had an unknown fungal attack on my toes when i was five – i saw hospital dr's and had creams to apply. Despite this the nail and nail bed dissapeared on both big toes by the age of 13. I am now 31 and still curl my toes so they cannot be seen if i am caught out without socks or shoes. Open toe shoes are a no no, the best i can do is paint onto the skin that now grows where nail is supposed to be and this often comes off in couple of hours.
I recently inquired about LCN nails but the chiropidist(who said she had never seen anything like it as she pulled her camera to take photos) said becasue there was no nail bed nothing could be done. I know my nails will never grow back but is there any cosmtic options to stop me hiding my feet away?
