Precocious Puberty
This unusual condition results in the very early onset of puberty and its associated symptoms and changes. This includes early growth of pubic hair, breast growth amongst girls and development of the male genitalia. Although there is no official ‘norm’ for starting puberty, precocious puberty normally refers to the onset of these symptoms significantly earlier than 8 years old. Although there have been cases linked to hormonal problems and brain injury, most cases have no clear cause. One of the key concerns surrounding precocious puberty is that it leads to a growth spurt that leaves children taller than other kids for a while, but then significantly shorter in later life. Treatment is normally focussed on hormone therapy to try and control the development rate.

hair is growing quite high up my penis and i dont think it is normal!! Also my penis sometimes gets sore and red in areas eventhough i have not had sexual intercourse or masturbated! please help
i get alot of discharge and i started my periods about a year ago but there are spread really far apart, like a few months. and when they do come again they are really brown and it looks nothing like blood, but all the other things like body hair and my boobs are normal.
I Have Bad Sweating undermy arms ang really bad beo. Also When i go to the toilet i need another wee but it only comes out a drop so i have to do it in my pants.
i started my periods when i was 12. i am now 14 but my periods are always really early or really late so i never know when there coming. im going on a watersports trip with the school in two days. my periods were due a week and a half ago. if they starts when away i wont beable to take part in the swimming activities. its really annoying.
Imi have a lot of vaginal discharge every day and it smells too . I also have no proper nipples. It looks as if they have fallen off and when i get a nipple on there is just wrinkles. I also sweat quite a bit too. Im 15 and very self concious please hellpp .
hi, i am 13 and i have three questions. First of all i have alot of pubic hair and it is really thick, i dont feel confident any more because when i have a bikini on it will show and it is very embarrasing, can i do anything about it? my second question is i have alot of hair under my arms and on my legs and when i shave the next day it will have grown again is there anythind i can do or use? and my last question is i get alot of viginal discharge and i haven't even started my periods is this normal? could you please help thanks.
hi, im 17 and i think i had a precocious puberty type thing. i clearly remember being asked to shave by my year 5 teacher (how embarrassing) if that's any indication. i have an issue with body hair all over (chest, stomach, back, bum, hands). i doubt that there are any medical implications but i feel very stressed and im so self conscious. ive tried shaving but it looks unnatural. i recently tried a cold wax but it's come up as a huge rash that looks like acne, and i couldnt reach around far enough to do a proper job anyway. what can i do about my problem? thanks
hi, i'm 13 and have two questions. first of all, i have quite thickpubic hair on my vagina, and have grown small breasts, but i do not have hair under my arms. all my friends with aroungd the same or less breats development have grown under arm hair. is this normal? also, i have been getting quite alot of vaginal discharge everyday for the past year, but have not started my period. please help.
my daughter is 7 and has growth of pubic hair and breast development i took her to the doctors last year and she had bloods done. they all came back fine but i have noticed further development although she has no signs of bleeding. are they any herbal or natural remedies for this as she is starting to get very self concious especaily during pe at school where there are no seperate changing areas. any advice would be greatfully recieved
my daughter is 11 turning 12 she had a dot of blood come from vagina she said its happened once before but she has not yet got her period could this be a sign its comming or do we go to doctor i didnt want her to be put in uncomfortable position at her age she dosent want to show anyone else her privates
