Conditions
Precocious Puberty
This unusual condition results in the very early onset of puberty and its associated symptoms and changes. This includes early growth of pubic hair, breast growth amongst girls and development of the male genitalia. Although there is no official ‘norm’ for starting puberty, precocious puberty normally refers to the onset of these symptoms significantly earlier than 8 years old. Although there have been cases linked to hormonal problems and brain injury, most cases have no clear cause. One of the key concerns surrounding precocious puberty is that it leads to a growth spurt that leaves children taller than other kids for a while, but then significantly shorter in later life. Treatment is normally focussed on hormone therapy to try and control the development rate.

I Haven't Started My Period And Im 13? Im Worried? What Shall I Do?
Hey im 17 neally 18 and i was diagnosed with precocious puberty at the age of 7( who which had very large breasts espesh for a 7 year old) . At the age of six started a very long year of docter after docter and blood test after blood test. They thort i had a brain injury becouse of my major headaches thus to the point of not being able to move or open my eyes , after a cat scan on my brain and blood test after blood test i was sent to a specalist. it wasnt til then they put everything together and was told that i had a rear condition call " precocious puberty " , i didnt think anything of it as i was only 7 once they finally figured it out. To all you girlies comenting and looking at this , honest puberty and everything that comes with it isnt that bad , when i first got my period i thort it was the end of the world. we all go through the same stuff at one point in time so each and every women in the world noes what you going thru.I mean come on i started everything realy young and i havnt turned out to bad. :p Us women are unique special characters.
Forgot to add just in my cat scan they also noticed that the growth of my brain was ahead for my age, that wwas just another large hint into my diagnosis.
I understand your hatred towards your period Teri. Just recently my 11 year old daughter got her first period. As a mother you expect that girls will just accept it as it is out of our control and in mothers natures hands. My daughter was so angry and did not want to accept it at all!! Even questioned me to as why I didnt make her a boy..lol...the GP can help in advising you but at your age there is not a lot they will do to prevent it. It is a cleansing cycle for women that must occur for good health. The pill will regulate it for you and will keep it in good order but it can not prevent you having them. There are ways to use the pill to manipulate your period not coming although as I mentioned a quality GP will not recommend it for someone as young as you are. Give us women strength!! Thats what I say as we have to deal with a lot in life :-)
hey im 14 and the doctors said that I have a male hormone imbalance but I dont no what it is?? And also I would like to no if it's to do with anger. I started to developing when I was around 7-8. I had tests done and everything. The reason why I ask about the anger issue is because of the male hormone imbalace, Yes it might just be a teenage thing but im not sure. I am on the contraceptive injection but I bleed for 3 months straight, I don't no whether to carry on with this injection or not!!

Hi I'm 20 years old and I recently cam off the pill, I have had to period since then and each have lasted over 2weeks, is this normal? I'm really worried.
You don't need to worry. It's just your body getting used to the new surrounding.
I'm nearly fourteen and I don't have any pubes most people in my class in school have them it's really embarrassing I'm growing armpit hair and facial hair but no pubes what's wrong with me ?:(
When i pull back my foreskin i see clumps of tiny spots (they look like the ones i see on my face)I have had these since about 2 weeks after i started masturbating. They are very embarrasing. Are they harmful and do i need to get them seen by my GP.
