Snoring
Many people will have experienced sleeping with a snorer. In fact, some may even have been driven to the point of hovering menacingly over their partner’s face with a pillow, fully intending to suffocate them with gleeful abandon. However, 41.5% of the UK population snores, which amounts to 15 million snorers – 10.4 million males and 4.5 million females – so we shouldn’t turn these adenoidally challenged folk into pariahs. The sound of snoring is made when you breathe through your mouth and nose when you’re asleep. But when that air doesn’t move smoothly through your air passages, it makes tissue in your mouth, nose and throat vibrate as the air passes through. Some causes of snoring are related to lifestyle, (being overweight, smoking, drinking alcohol etc), so there are changes you can make to minimise the snoring. But if the self-help methods don’t work, then there’s only one thing for it…no, not the pillow…visit your GP.

hi, i'm 14 and every time i sleep at a friends house or have them over to sleep at my house, they always complain about my snoaring. my dad snores and drives me crazy when he falls asleep on the sofa, i hope this isn't what i'm going to be like! apparantly i snore really loud but i've never really had any problems with it. i wake up occasionally whilst sleeping, but i always put it down to being too cold or hearing a noise. i am now slightly worried that i might have sleep apnoea. if i ever manage to get a partner in the future, i wouldn't want to keep them awake with my snoaring.
can you help???

I have personally met 2 people that had laser surgery and the effects wore off after a couple of years
I had lasik surgery a few years ago to correct my vision and similarly that wore off and I was back wearing the same prescription glasses
The simplest effective snoring remedy is the Stop Snore Ring
The medical profession do not understand it so are reluctant recommend it even though there are hundreds of endorsements for the product on their website www.stopsnorering.com
Hi, I am a 32 year old female and snore. I cannot even have a 5 minute cat nap on the sofa in front of the tv without snoring. I do suffer from hayfever although I tend to get this at any time of the year and am wondering if this might have something to do with it?
It is very embarrasing, especially being a female and I have avoided sleeping in the same room with friends & family for over 5 years.
My fiance is fine with it, which obviously helps, however i know he would prefer it if I stopped. The worst thing i find is going on holidays with a night flight and stopping myself sleeping on the plane.
Is there any operation out there that can help me?
