Third Nipple
A third nipple didn’t prevent Francisco Scaramanga from becoming the world’s top-paid assassin in the Bond movie ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’…and why should it? After all, it’s not as uncommon as you may think. Around 1 in 18 people in the UK may have a third or ‘supernumerary nipple’ and the only real problem may be the social stigma attached to them. They’re often mistaken for moles, as they are not properly formed like normal nipples and can usually be found on an imaginary ‘milk line’ between the armpit and inner thigh. If you feel uncomfortable about yours, it’s probably best to speak to your GP to determine whether surgery is needed. However, Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg has decided against going under the knife to remove his extra teat, because he’s grown to love it. And to put all the rumours to bed about her third nipple, Lily Allen proudly flashed hers whilst hosting the Friday Night Project!

Hi, im a 16yr old boy and im kinda worried because one day i found that one of my nipples was a tiny bit bigger on my right so i felt it and there was a lump that wasnt on my left and was scared because id heard about nubbits(third nipples)so i went to see my gp about it and he wasnt there but the trainee doctor had a feel and was stumped as she said it felt like a breast bud with by this time i was terrified i might be growing a boob so she emailed the other doctor and he emailed back saying it was normal in boys but i wasnt too sure as i asked my friends and none of them ever had it and no-one else i know did so i wanted to ask u guys so please get back 2 me .thx
I have a 3rd nipple on my bra line under my left breast. I am thinking of getting it removed just I dont want to get rid of my indepencence
hi all,
i actually have 2 extra nipples, both right near my armpits, one on either side. my mum always told me that they were moles though. when i asked about the colour she just said that some moles dont get them. one of them could definately pass for a mole as it is quite flat, but the other definately looks like a nipple as it is raised like a nipple. my brothers always used to tease me when i was younger saying it was a that it was a third nipple but i just shrugged it off and said it was a mole. although i had suspisions that it may have been a nipple (i never even suspected the other one to be one), i only confirmed my suspisions almost 2 years ago after i had my first child and it lactated. after having my second child 7 weeks ago i decided to see if the other one lactated as well and sure enough it did. not much, but enough to know that was what it was doing. im not embarassed by these as i have always had them in full view because i was told they were moles. i cant remember how old i was when i first noticed them. i would not get them removed unless they caused a problem. to this day i have never told anyone that they are actually nipples and i do not know if my mum knows they are either. i think that if u are not self concious about them then no one will probably notice anyway.
ive had a third nipple for 20 yrs just under left breast started getting inflamed and swollen for last 5yrs also on same side at same time lump in grion and also neck and lately found lump on shoulder blade scan couldnt find anything but dr could feel it
i've always had two nipples but now one has seem to have split in half.. i'm 13 and i'm kind of worried but i don't want to tell anyone. any help? :/
I was trying to find out something else but i came across this. i have 2 other nipple looking things, they dont bother me but is it strange to have 2 extra ones?
I have one right under my boob and it kinda hurts under the underwiring of my bra.. it doesn't bother me that it's there but it hurts quite a lot when I wear a bra and ofc I can't NOT wear a bra. Should I get it removed?
I had a small soft lump on my shoulder many years ago. My G.P told me it was an extra nipple and refered me to a specialist who confirmed it. He took some photo's of it before he removed it and was told it wouldn't return, but it did. I had it removed again and was told it was a benign tumor. The removal of it didn't hurt and only a small scar was left. I'm really not convinced that it was either of them.
I'm 26 and I got my third nipple removed when I was in 7th grade. I guess that's when I started to notice it. Mine was right under my right breast which as my breast got bigger, I realize the nipple would have been part of my nipple. I was very displeased with my surgery. The Dr asked me if I wanted a vertical or horizontal cut and I told him horizontal. I have a scar that almost touches my nipple bc the scar has stretched over the years. I breastfed and had no problem with it, but I'm looking into getting another surgery bc my left nipple is bigger than my right nipple due to breastfeeding, but only after I'm finished having kids.
My advice for the young adults is to wait until your breast are developed before you get the surgery bc the scar may stretch. Mines certainly did bc I not have a 36C breast.
Hi,
I have had 3 extra nipples for my whole life. If anyone asks i just say they are birthmarks. But i say they are special because hardly many people have them. What ever happens do not get them removed because it will cause a scar that will be even worse than the third nipple … Just count yourself as special!!!!
