Warts
Warts are normally small, skin coloured rough lumps that appear on the skin. They most commonly appear on the hands and feet, and are totally benign. They are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus that causes the keratin in the skin to grow too much, producing a hard textured wart. The human wart virus is extremely contagious, and skin-to-skin contact or shared use of clothes or towels can easily spread the virus. Though warts will often clear up of their own accord, treatment can accelerate the process and rid sufferers of these unsightly lumps. Warts most commonly spread through people biting or cutting them, making them bleed and helping to spread the virus. Treatment can involve use of salicylic acid, which is available at a pharmacy, or through cryotherapy where a GP or podiatrist freezes off the wart.

I've had lumps around my vagina for a few weeks now; and tonight realised their similarity to genital wart! Pretty certain this is what it is, however I only recently got vaccinated for HPV!! Does this mean I've had a contaminated vaccination? Can I get Cervical cancer from this? I plan to visit the doctors tomorrow but I took a closer look before and I am riddled! Will these be easy to remove?

I have small hard calluses under the skin on the palms and fingers of my hands soles of my feet and some on my scalp They appear like a veruca on my feet because of the hard skin that builds on them but they have no roots. Doctors do not seem to know what they are. I was told that it could be heridetry. could you please let me know how i could get rid of them. thank you
warts are strange things.... the first time i got one was 5 years ago on my thumb so i done my research on them and it seems that our immune system is very capable of dealing with these things... i started to take vitamins and eat fruit and within 3 or 4 months it started to shrink and eventualy disapeared. Then about a year ago i got a small patch of about 6 of them on my penis and started the same process and they are only now begining to disapear... never pick scratch or cut a wart as this will most definatly spread it or them. they are very easily spread through skin contact and most people who get the virus dont actualy get warts and some get them but because they are under the skin they never know so they can be spreading the virus for years without knowing. dont be embarrased if you have these things because you can catch them as easily as a common cold. and if you have them in a place thats visible like the face there is probly nothing your doctor can do without scaring ..... so use your bodies best defence your immune system and make shure you eat good foods and vitamins to boost it up and speed up the process :)
Hi My son has a wart on his face between his eyes. The Dr told us not to use anything as it will mark his face. He gets comments at school that upset him. Is there anything we can do he has had it for 18 months! He has one new wart on his finger.
i had a wart on my finger of my left hand for 3 years and never spread, i recently got signed off work with a bad back and have spent a lot of time at home, i have ocd and wash my hands constantly, this has got worse while ive been off work...however the hardest thing is in just 3 weeks that left hand now has 8 warts and one on the right hand. i went for my first session to have them frozen off and the pain is almost unbearable, they have all blistered and i can hardly use my left hand..i hate it and it has made my ocd even harder to cope with as i feel i can't wash my hands properly

Please please please , can someone help ? I have a problem with genital warts , Having been to the doctors who refered me to the 'clinic' (for around 5 yrs) , they still persist on coming back . No matter how many times i say to the docs or the 'clinic' . I get no where and keep being sent back to the 'clinic'. I'm told it's down to my immune system to get rid of the virus , but like i said 5 yrs on an there still here with me , i feel dirty and now very low please help.
have you been given oral treatment as well as creams?? and im sure clinics freeze them off or something?? there must be something they can do for you..but im sure its much like the cold sore virus (herpes) because they come back too and i believe it is something that stays in your body for life? dont take my word for it, can you get referred somewhere else or go private?
