Watering Eyes
Watering eyes are a common problem, especially in older people over the age of 60, and in babies (0-12 months of age). Our eyes need to produce a certain amount of tears to ensure that they stay moist and comfortable. However, some people can experience unstoppable tears streaming down their cheeks, which isn’t necessarily the result of watching ‘Beaches’ or seeing the England team lose another World Cup semi-final. Eyes produce extra tears to wash away any irritants, which can include fumes, an infection such as conjunctivitis, a scratch, a piece of grit, or an inwardly growing eyelash (also called an entropion). But the most common cause of watering eyes is a blocked or narrowed tear duct, which can be due to inflammation. Treatment for watering eyes depends on the cause, and whether it is actually a problem. Inwardly growing eyelashes and foreign objects in the eye can be removed, while infections can be treated with prescription eye drops.

I have a problem with my eyes, they water constantly with them constantly watering it drys out my skin and leaves the eye lid skin flaking and red. Is there anything I can do? Would like to stop my eye lids from drying out and flaking thanks??
im 14 and sometimes when im laying on my side my eyes water for no aparent reason, i was just curious.
My eyes always used to uncontrollably produce tears when walking up to school. This always happened when it was winter (when its cold) and it was windy. It stopped when I went to College and University.
I have a problem with my eyes, they water constantly but not down my cheek but whenever I blink the tear moves up over my eye lid. I am an exzema sufferer and with my eyes watering onto my eye lids it drys out my skin and leaves the eye lid skin flaking and red. I have been using hayfever eye drops to ease the watering but this doesn't seem to make much difference. Is there anything else I can do? Would like to stop my eye lids from drying out and flaking.
