Episode 5 - Liverpool
Breast Reconstruction
The Embarrassing Bodies truck heads to Merseyside and pulls up in Liverpool, the city with the biggest average breast size in Britain! First up to see Dr Christian is Eniola who is unhappy with her breasts following an accident as a child that left her severely burnt. The burns affected the growth of her breasts during puberty, leaving her with only one fully formed breast. After visiting a specialist, it’s decided to augment both of her breasts to create the breasts that Eniola should have had. Along with a reconstructed nipple, Eniola now has a symmetrical cleavage, and once a localised infection has cleared up, she hopes to have a normal pair of breasts at last.

I found different protuberances in both thighs, one is above my right knee and it feels hard when I touch it. What can that be? I am 47 years old.

Hi, my comment is the same as Steve's re IBS - on last night's programme the doctor perscribed a young girl medication for IBS. Can you please tell me the name of this medication? I can then go to my GP and see if he thinks it would be any good for me. I have also sufferd for a long time with IBS and unable to get it any better, despite diet changes, weight loss & excercise. Hope you can help, thanks Alison

My comment is the same as Steve's re IBS. Can you let me have the name of the anti-depressant that was prescribed. I have a friend who suffers terribly from IBS and I thought it might be something she could ask her GP about. Thanks

The guy who was on with acne on his back - I have the exact same problem. With my back looking like aomebody has been at it with an ice pick. It is rather embarrassing especially when naked with somebody, although I haven't shown my back to anybody in years , but it is always playing on my mind and I would just like to feel comfortable in my own body especially around other people. The doctor mentioned taking vitamin a, so I googled this and came across a couple of opinions which varied from not to be recommended and to be taken while being supervised by your gp. Can you not buy this vitamin from the high street and in what doses should they be taken?

Acne is horrible to deal with, so sympathies. But, if I were in your place I'd go and see my GP and discuss with him, or, request to have an appointment with a dermatologist - yes, you can request and also, can be seen by a consultant of your choice! So, don't be nervous to making such a request. Vitamins are OK but, as you have discovered, can have side effects. Hope you get relief of the problem soon.

Hi Dave You cannot buy this Vitimin on the High street as its a prescription only treatment. Its is called Retin-A Gel, and it stops acne extremely well. It is also prescribed by plastic surgeons as it can even reduce scarring and wrinkles. its a very strong gel and should be used carefully as it can burn the skin if to much is applied + you should avoid sunbeds and strong sun rays whilst using the gel. For more information on Retin-A you should have a look at Medical Specialists Pharmacy
