Embarrassing Fat Bodies Episode 2
Excessive Sweating & Skin
Far from being rewarded for losing 20 stone, Glenn has been left with the problem of excess skin. This causes Glenn to sweat a lot, even when he’s asleep, and as a result he’s lost all confidence. Glenn is concerned about the smell the sweating creates and even suffers from insomnia because of the way his skin pinches when he moves. Dr Dawn advises that the best option is surgery, but because there is so much skin Glenn will have to undergo multiple operations. The first is a Belt Lipectomy, which successfully removes a remarkable 4kg of skin from Glenn’s abdomen and back.

I am shocked that it has taken this programme to get this man the surgery he needs to remove his excess skin after his weight loss, why could his own GP not have refered him?

Hi Lorraine, Thanks for your comment. I did visit my GP but unfortunately I have a large, muscular frame my BMI was still too high for the PCT and this criteria meant I am too heavy to be considered (even though this is due to the skin weight). I even had to put on weight/fat for the above surgery due to being too lean! The battle goes on for my legs.
