How to Test Your Lungs

Lung Function Test

In the episode of Embarrassing Bodies broadcast on Friday 11th February 2011 the doctors took an instrument around Scarborough to test the resident’s lungs to see if their lung age matched their real age.

To do this test required a specialist bit of equipment called a spirometer (the one used in the TV show was supplied by Bedfont Scientific) which most people don’t have easily at hand. However, if you have had a lung function test recently and kept your ‘FEV’ score, you can use this website to generate a predicted lung age.
