@Eli: Yes and no. In some cases it's still possible to breastfeed after having surgery for a breast prosthesis, in other cases it's not. It largely depends on the surgery: how the incision is done and what complications arose afterwards. Chances are quite high though that some nerves, milk glands and/or ducts are damaged. When a nerve is hit, there will be less feeling in the nipple and the area around it. This will give problems with the milk flow. If other tissue is damaged, not enough milk is made or the flow is insufficient. Also, there might be a risk if the implants "leak" and some of the content mixes with the breast milk. The effect it might have on the baby is not known.
When considering a breast prosthesis, you always need to discuss enough with your health advisor about the possible problems that can happen. Maybe in the end it's not worth it…?
hi
can one have breastfeeding after prothesis?
@Samantha: The "pussy spots" you are talking about, are they "areolar glands" maybe ?(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glands_of_Montgomery) If it's like that, there's no problem, they're perfectly normal.
When you take off your shirt or touch your nipples (or when it's cold for example), the nipples are being stimulated. In such case, usually the nipples become hard and "pointy". Yours become creased ? With such little information, it's hard to say if it's normal or not…
If you have good reason to worry, you should always contact your doctor or specialist! They are the best (the only) to answer all your questions.
Hi, Im 14 and I'm really worried because I've noticed a few white pussy spots around my nipples and also Ive notived that when i take my shirt of my nipples are all smooth but then a few seconds later or if I touch them they go all creased! Please help, because I also really dont want to go to a doctor or even tell anyone! Thank you x :)
@Leila: You're still young, you shouldn't be worrying about these things. Your breasts still need to grow. Who knows, maybe they'll become bigger than your friends' in the end ? Just be a bit patient. I'm sure your nipples don't look any worse than any other girl's nipples. When you look at pictures of women's breasts, you see there are so many kinds. And boys, they don't care which shape your nipples have. So there's no need to worry. Any boy, allowed to see or touch your breasts, will be very happy.
@Lizzie2 (1 nov.): The guys AREN'T all over you ?! A skinny girl with big breasts, isn't that what most guys dream about ? Still, with this size, one needs to be careful about the physical consequences. If you have back pain or shoulder pain because of the weight of your breasts, it is wise to consult a doctor or specialist to discuss what is the best way to solve this problem. When you have no physical pain or big discomfort, better leave it be. Many girls think their breasts are too small. Be happy you're not one of them.
@Lizzie 1 (30 oct.): You know, some guys DO like heavy breasts… Have you tried losing some weight ? When you lose weight, your breasts become smaller as well. But be careful, not too fast by drastic diet! Your breasts will become more saggy! I'm not sure, but losing weight may make them more firm. What can help, is doing sports. But wear a good sports bra! If your breasts bounce too hard, the breast ligaments might lose elasticity. You need to avoid this. And finally, you can maybe try a push-up bra ? It should give a nice cleavage.
@Jessie: It's hard to say without more detailed information, but I'm quite sure that it's perfectly normal. If you're scared, you can always visit a doctor or specialist. Otherwise, just keep an eye on it for any change, but I think there's nothing to worry about.
