The symptoms of lymphoedema include:
- swelling in part, or all, of a limb - this can lead to difficulties in wearing jewellery/watches or fitting into clothes or shoes,
- the limb can feel heavy,
- the affected limb loses some of its mobility,
- pain in the affected limb,
- a tingling sensation in the affected limb, much like 'pins and needles'
- the affected limb develops repeated skin infections, and
- the skin on the affected limb becomes hardened and tight, and blisters or wart-like growths can develop on the surface of the skin.
