Am I Normal: After Sex

Dr Dawn Harper discusses what is and isn’t normal after sex. You shouldn’t look and feel any different after you’ve had sex, but there are a number of health concerns that teenagers should be aware of. With STIs on the rise throughout the UK, Dr Dawn examines some of the common issues that can arise and finds out what teenagers and the cast of Hollyoaks think about STIs.

Hi i've just started puberty. I think i've got genital warts on the tip of my foreskin. I've never had sex though, does this mean i can't get warts. I used to have warts all over my hands but htey eventually went away. If i went to see my GP, is there any way it could be confidential from my mum? Please reply.

Her boyfriend couldn't get his penis inside her, and im really worried this could happen to me because i have tried on lots and lots of occassions to insert a tampon but i can never get it further than about a couple of centimeters, im really worried because i want my first time to be enjoyable not embaressing. And also when you bleed after sex does it happen straight away or quite a while after? Please help! :(

i have not had sex ever but you just need to relax before you insert a tampon all my friends say you should relax when ever you are going to put anything inside u

Yes this is normal, it is just your hymen breaking, this should only happen once after your first time.

Your Hymen breaks on your first 2-3 times. it happened to me and a friend said it was normal. Don't worry about it.

after sex i some times get a burning/stingin feeling and is sometimes uncomfortable certain ways i sit and can be like this for a few day ive been checked for chlamedia but my results were clear , what could be causein it?

i get that to, i think it depends how much sex you have and how big your boyfriends penis is, because we do it more then once and he's got quite a big penis and mine starts to hurt after.

I am ashamed of myself and regret this so anyone one reading it who maybe influenced do not make the same mistake I did. On saturday I lost my virginity in a hotel room with an older 20 year old lad who isnt even from where I live, It was unprotected! I am now experiencing a stinging sensation when I urinate and I have sore muscles in my stomach I am going for the morning after pill today but I am so worried That this infection could be more than just a water infection. The lad seemed clean and he was really nice but I just have a niggling feeling in the back of my mind.
