*******

Dr Dawn: Breasts come in all shapes and sizes. Take this women’s hockey team. A group of women, several pairs of boobs – all different. Small, Big. Pointed, Round. Some nipples are dark, some are light. Some stick out and others don’t. Not only that – No pair is ever perfectly symmetrical. Every woman is different.

If your friends have started to get boobs and you haven’t, don’t worry – developing at different times is perfectly normal. Some girls hit puberty as early as 8, whilst others can be mid-teens. When puberty does kick in, your breasts will start to developÖ First your nipples swell and feel tender and then, with your first period, your breasts will start to get bigger. By your late teens your breasts will probably be at their full size, although some girls continue to develop into their twenties.

Breasts are basically there to produce milk for your baby, should you chose to have one and they are sensitive to hormones.

So every month, before your period, your breasts may get larger, become tender, and even feel a bit lumpy. These changes are normal.

*******

Girl 3: I do like my boobs, I think they change shape quite often. But I think my boobs are okay.

*******

Dr Dawn: As your breasts develop you will start to think about your first bra. It may surprise you to know that in the UK 80 percent of women wear the wrong size bra! So get properly fitted. And during puberty get measured at least once a year. If your breasts change a lot before a period it may be worth investing in a different size bra for that time of the month.

*******

Girl 2: When i first started growing boobs they were like really small, and they still are really small.

Girl 1: I think lads prefer like bigger boobs.

Boy 4: Small boobs are alright yeah they don’t have to be massive.

Hollyoaks Actor: Just big like, just like that like.

Boy 1: I like sort of medium I don’t like too big but I like to have something there to hold onto.

Boy 2: Yeahhh.

*******

Dr Dawn: Developing breasts is a massive part of a girl’s life. And as more women in the media go out and get boob jobs, the more pressure girls feel to have perfect boobs. In the past year the number of 18 and 19 year olds in the UK having boob jobs has increased by more than one hundred and fifty percent.

*******

Hollie Jay-Bowes: Well in school like i think every girl went through a phase of wanting a boob job. It was standard. Everybody always wanted to have bigger boobs but i think when you get a bit older you either realise that you don’t need them or you kinda wait until you are old enough.

Hollyoaks Actress 2: I think it’d be a wise decision to wait until you’re a lot older before having a boob job because your body changes all the time as you’re growing up.

*******

Dr Dawn: If you’ve got any worries about your breasts speak to someone about it. And if it’s really getting you down, talk to your GP.

On each of my breasts, on the nipple area there are strange bumps either side of my nipple. I've researched it and it definitely isn't enlarged mammary glands, there is two on each nipple and they look slightly like nipples, but I know they aren't extra nipples. !!Please help, I don't know what they are and I just want them gone

ohh its all right trust i was scared but a woman dose it and you keep you brar on an they just mesure you

its normal to have stretch marks on your boobs its jst where they have grown , if u go and get your boobs mesured at a shop its usually done over your bra and sumtimes top depending on where you go , its quite easy to measure them yourself at home tho if you have a tape mesure

I have stretch marks across my breast, and they are really quite noticeable, they are a dark pink colour. It's really bothering me now, when ever I wear bikini's or push up bra's. Is there anything I can do make them fade quicker, as I know they probably won't go, and I'm really worried what guys will say. Thanks:) x
