Consultation: Mole Check-Up

Some of us seem to be completely covered in moles, while others of us have hardly any at all. However, as Dr Dawn Harper explains to a patient from series one of Embarrassing Illnesses, we all get more as we grow older. But Dr Harper also discusses the changes in moles that we should be aware of, and what to do if we are concerned.

I have a mole on my arm which i have had all my life which has got slightly bigger. Should i be worried about this? And have also noticed that a mole on the stomach which is quite small has a tiny darker spot in the middle. I am going to the doctors as soon as but just wanted some opinions so i know what to expect. Im 24. Thanks so much in advance

Hi, I am a 51 year old male and have many moles over my body, mainly around the stomach and sides and lots on my back. Some tiny and some large. I still get many small new ones appearing. I have just bought a product off the Internet called 'Nevi No More' to try and get rid of them as I feel embarrased to take my top of in public or meet a lady. Around five years ago I hade the moles checked and was all ok. As some are now larger do you think I should re visit the docter ? And do you think this product I'm using is a waste of time and money ? Thanks for any help.. Andy James
