Dr. Christian:
There’s absolutely no need for people to feel embarrassed because believe me, I’ve seen it all before.

Why have you just come to see me now about this..?

I’d hate to see what could develop under his foreskin if it was left…

It is quite likely you may have something. If you come and see us we’re not going to chop it off but if you don’t, it might fall off by itself…

But your results are, quite frankly, shocking…

There are certain parts of our bodies that we don’t talk about but when they go wrong, we should…

You’ve got away with it…

People would rather suffer in silence then get these things treated and that’s ridiculous in this day and age.

Hey, I'm a 20 year old female, I have been suffering with severe back pain for the past 10 years and haven't had much done about it the pains runs down my spine and across my lower back around my hips and down the my groin. With this I have really bad hips that have a tenancy to pop out of place or dislodge which can be very painful. It does get to the point where I can't walk and I can't do anything for longer than 10 or 15 minutes without being in pain. I also get very painful stabbing and twinge like pains in my lower adominals. It's the worst when I wake up in the morning as my muscles don't wake up at the same time especially in my arms and I can't grip anything or move well for a good hour or so. I also have severe migraines which can get to the point where I'm on the floor in a ball in agony. Also today I went to the toilet and passed some blood in my stool. The many doctors I have seen have been useless in helping me with my back pain and ignored my migraines I'm in alot of painful and could do with some help..

Dear Dr Jessen, i struggle to lose weight - not in the conventional sense - but my body seems to work against me, my mum has the same problem, i exercise regularly and stick to my Bmr: 1270 calories a day, and eat healthy foods - i write a food diary and make sure i eat plenty of protein. I'm 5ft 1 and 10st 2lbs but my body refuses to lose an ounce - i really want to find out what my BMR is accurately and find out why my body works against me .... its really getting me down as I'm 35 trying to date and its not helping my self esteem. A VOX test would be useful but there no where near that does them... (i am a community nurse - so I'm fairly clued up on physiology etc) please help...

Hi Dr Jessen. I am a 29 year old female, and three times now, when I have been having sex, I have pooed myself a little bit. It only happens when I'm on top, and it's only a bit, but enough for me to be worried, and super embarrassed! Please can you tell me why this is happening? And how I can stop it ever happening again!I'm scared to have sex now!

Hi, My name is Surma, I live in Bedfordshire, UK and I am 34 years old married have 2 children. I had gastric sleeve surgery on 29th of August 2014. At that time I was 128kg, and now in January I am nearly 90kg. Ever since the surgery, I had tried to follow the programme from liquid diet to soft food. But I cannot eat or drink anything. What ever I tried to drink or eat I end up vomiting and it really hurts in my chest and throat. The only thing I can manage to keep down is tea. The doctor had said that my gullet is really weak, therefore the food is not staying down. Every time I try eating any tiny bit of solid food, soft food or fluid I end up vomiting. Hence my surgeon doctor gave prucalopride 1mg to strengthen my gullet. And the doctor said that if this does not work. Then he wants to do a gastric bypass on me. But I do not understand how the gastric bypass will strengthen my gullet and how it would make me better to eat. My iron level, protein level, sugar level, everything is low. I had a lot of thick hair and now I barely have anything. I am really weak and do not understand why they want to do this operation if the problem is my gullet. If my gullet is weak, then how can gastric bypass help me feel better? So I had no choice but to send a message to every doctor to give me a second opinion before the 15th of January.. I am crying out for help because am weak, and because I lost weight to quickly which it had drastically made me weak, my bones hurt and I can't walk around with no energy as I have been drinking tea for the nearly 5 months even having problem keeping tea down I vomit that out too. Could you please help me and give me relevant advice. I understand you will look at this message and may ignore, but please understand my condition and give me second opinion because I may have bowel cancer in couple of months time if I continue like this. P.S I have under-active thyroid so am on levothyroxine 150mg and I did have high blood pressure and cholesterol Thank you.

Good day Doctor Jessen I am a follower of Embarrassing Bodies and have found each episode both interesting and informative. It has taken much courage to contact you regarding a medical problem I have been suffering from 2012. I am a 36 year old South African indian woman that underwent a breast reduction in 2012. As I am prone to keloids immediately after the procedure I underwent radiation along the incision areas to prevent the development of keloids. It is unclear what happened but the radiation wasn't successful. Since then the keloids under and along both breasts have thickened, darkened and become extremely painful. The keloids continue to grow and remain painful. I have consulted with a dermatologist who administered cortisone shots. This was a costly but ineffective exercise. Could you kindly advise if there are any advanced keloid treatments that I may consider? Your assistance will be sincerely appreciated and may be my answer to some normality and relief. Yours sincerely H
