i have spots/pimples on the tops of my arms and shoulders which i have had since i was about 12, they have now started to move onto my chest age 27 all this seem to be around the hair follicles, they seem to reduce when exposed to sunlight when on holiday, they are not itchy or sore just unsightly.they are filled with hardish white puss. My GP told me that this is caused by washing to hard, other have had no idea. please advise on a treatment
My poor brother in law has what looks likes this condition on his head. He has seen his Dr who keeps giving him antibiotics & told him not to shave his head anymore as the puss was being caused by in grown hair. He is a Taxi driver & is dreading the summer getting here as he wont be able to wear his wooly hat. He is very aware that is head gets so badly infected it smells & having people sat in a car with him makes him very paranoid. He also keeps his head covered as a simple turn of his head can cause he sores to leak puss which his customers are not going to want to see. Thank you very much to your program....You may very well of just given him the answers he has been looking.
I have acne keloid on my head. I've had it for about 5 years now? It's really itchy and hurts at times when i go to sleep. i've seen a doctor and dermatology, but all they do is give me meds and cream. it's not working but is showing sign of inprovment. as soon as i think it's feeling better, it starts getting worse again. any ideas of what i should do? i can't even walk outside w/o a hat on, because i'm scared to show it. and i hate it when people make fun of it.
I've been suffering from acne keloidalis for sometime now. I keep getting more bumps. Its very embarrassing for me as well I don't have much money for a dermatologist, just been using some stuff called Skin Tight and Clubman Bump Repair Gel. They work for a little bit and sometimes help flatten the acne keloids but its like they eventually become immune to it. I would save up or get help going to a dermatologist but what I've heard people have just been given antibiotics and steroid creams which become ineffective as well... How much are you guys paying to see a dermatologist for this condition?
I suffered from really bad acne some years ago, which gave me really ugly bumpy keloid scars on my back and chest. After seeing several skin specialists, a plastic surgeon finally gave me cortisone injections, right into the scar tissue, and it helped! After a couple of weeks/months (including repeated treatment, since the biggest and harder scars needed several cortisone injections) the scars flattened. Ok, you can still see that I have scars, but at least I don't have any big lumps anymore. (They were actually so big that you could see the ones on my back through the fabric when I was wearing a t-shirt, and to say that it was like pure torture to take the t-shirt off in front of people, so they could see my scars, goes without saying...) I hope this info might be useful for some of you out there; however, my doctor said that cortisone treatment doesn't work in all cases, there may be individual differences.
