I am 29 and have always been self conscious about my larger labia. If you are like me, you can imagine how embarrassed I was when my bf asked what was wrong with me and if I was a huge slut in my past because he had never seen one look like mine!

how did you get to go for labiaplasty? is it on the nhs?

I am 30 and have long labia lips. I would never get plastic surgery as I have always been told that my labia makes penetration feels better. When my partners penis is inside me my labia lips also stroke against his penis enhancing his pleasure. I like to think of my genitalia as an added bonus!! :)). Ladies don't change yourself! It is what makes yOu special. The right man will appreciate it !

I think its sick that this is being marketed by channel 4 as some kind of illness. Is this not the same channel that aired 'the day I will never forget' concerning female genital mutilation. There is nothing wrong with the woman's genitals and to call them 'enlarged' indicates she was born with some kind of deficiency. It is far more common that people realise. To all the girls considering this surgery - is is really worth cutting your body for the gratification of a man. And if it is - wouldn't you rather a man wanted you for you. Not just your genitalia?

The key here is that this is a woman of 40 and she is doing it because she does not feel comfortable with herself. This is not plastic surgery to enlarge her breasts so that men would like her better. I guarantee that no man would have an issue with her enlarged labia. If you watched the video her labia had gotten so large it bothered her while she walked and during every day activities. Perhaps these are issues you have with yourself since this woman is not a role model but simply a patient.

I am 17 years old and over the past years or so i have noticed that my inner left labia has enlarged. I am very self conscious about it.

This video is terrible. She was perfectly fine the way she was before and did not even need surgery. I think it is so wrong how many people there are endorsing surgery for this. Long labia are completely NORMAL. Most men actually prefer longer labia. Also, a women with longer labia experiences more sexual pleasure. If you're a woman with long labia minora you are LUCKY!

I am 15 years old and over the past year or so i have noticed that my inner left labia has enlarged. I am very self conscious about it as I am getting to the age where oral sex is introduced. Most of my friends have done oral sex but I am too scared that if i get the opportunity to do oral sex, a rumor will get out about my vagina. I really want cosmetic surgery to fix my problem but i am not sure how to bring up my problem to my mum. Any suggestions?

That is more common than you realize, there is nothing wrong with you. Do not feel pressured to have oral sex. Wait until you feel ready and are with someone you completely trust.

As a 16 year old virgin and I find these videos very useful, but I am very dissapointed Dr Mckenna branded longer labia as "excess skin". It can make many normal woman feel even more depressed and insecure about their looks. Everyone has their right to plastic surgury, but she needn't have claimed it the solution. People need to accept their normal vulvas. They are beautiful flowers of the female body.

Hey, my labia are way bigger than these. I thought it was normal, I have loads of lovers and a great sex life, plenty or oral sex. I wouldn't change a thing. I am now happily married in a monogamous, exciting and fulfilled relationship. I wish people wouldn't get hung up about what equipment you have or choose to use, or what other people do or use. Just find someone you love and who loves you and do what you like together, it's so simple, easy and fun!

thanks for all of your commets. My 12yr old daughter has a large labia and I have found all of these comments useful as its not really a topic I know a lot about. We dont often compare our labia sizes in the changing rooms so I only know that its bigger than mine thats why Im investigating!!!

I too am exceedingly disappointed in the circulation of self image propaganda which this generation is infamous for. My girlfriend of 2 years has labia minora easily 2 - 3 times longer than that. Personally, as a man, I find longer labia attractive. There is more to play with under the sheets, and makes oral sex a lot more fun, frankly. I love them, and I'm certain plenty of other guys (or girls) do as well. It's more common than you might think, and it's nothing to be ashamed of. We have every patch of skin for a reason. Long labia minora (and majora) have very specific evolutionary roles. Has anyone perhaps considered that longer is BETTER?

LOVE this comment! I was a little self conscious before, but this video made me feel way worse rather than reassuring me. It made me feel like I need to get surgery, but your comment was so lovely, it brought me back down to earth. People should put more emphasis on being happy with yourself the way you are, rather than changing yourself until you are happy.
