Testicular cancer is a young man’s disease, and yet this is the age group that has the greatest sense of invincibility from the illness. Dr Harper demonstrates the technique you can use to self-examine your balls, and as it’s best carried out in the shower, it’s a great excuse for taking a bit longer in the morning.

I'm 19 and the other day I was with my gf and she accidently tapped me in my ball sack and my right but hurt soo bad then I was feelin on it and I found a small bump and it kinda hurts when I touch it.. Any ideas?

On the under side of balls noticed a section of one of the veins to be swollen an protruding out more the the rest, kinda like a small worm swallowed a BB, could it be a clot?

i do not have any abnormalities among the surface of the testicals, but when i was checking i felt a large vein that was all mashed together, it almost felt as if were a couple of worms tangled up, and it connects to my testical, what is this?

Hi garret. i dont no what it is but i can tell u i have the same thing by the sounds of your description and have had for a good 12 months now. ive never really thought much of it but now and then i have a strange pressure type feeling not quite pain its hard to describe. had you experienced anything like this at all? its only this week ive decided to go to c a doctor. ill be sure to let u no if i find out what it is.

Something a bit different here. When I have sex lying on my side it feels as though my right testical is going to move into my abdomen and feels very odd rather than painful. I grad the base of my scrotum to stop this from happening during sex, what is going on?

I am 55 and found a small pea size lump on my right ball. After a panic I rechecked and I can't feel it now. I will see my GP but if it's now disapeard I will be wasting their time. Is it best to keep checking for a while

i know theres a normal lump on ur testicals where the tubes attach but are they meant to be the same or does it matter if one is slightly larger than the other ?

I don't think they have to be the same size as our bodies tend to not have perfect symmetry, but if you have a lump it could be an epididymal cyst. I had one found 10 years ago when I got an ultrasound to find the source of my pain. That was not because of the cyst though. It was a varicocele (enlarged veins in the scrotum). Since the cyst didn't hurt and was harmless, I never did anything about that.
