Hi, sounds like you have a fungal infection in the skin. The vagina has an abundance of natural bacterias and suchlike, which are essential to the health of our lady bits! Every now and then these natural levels get knocked out of kilter by illness, antibiotics or occasionally by irritation to the area. Being a naturally moist and warm area, the vagina's a hot spot for fungal or bacterial over-growth. If you have ever had Thrush you will know all about this. Is it possible you nicked or scratched the skin with your razor? If so, some of the natural candida fungus, or bacteria (more likely to be fungal) has colonised the top layer of your skin, causing irritation. The sensible thing to do would be to contact your GP and get it looked at, just to make sure. In the meantime, if you want to make yourself more comfortable, you may consider using an over-the counter cream such as cansesten (for thrush) instead of sudocrem or savlon. You should apply it thinly every time you go tothe toilet. If that relieves the condition slightly I'd say it was almost certainly a fungal problem, and should be treated very easily and painlessly with an oral tablet for thrush and the cream for the external area. You are however, highly recommended to consult your GP, as a stronger dose, or longer period of treatment may be necessary to completely clear it. Hope this helps! (Oh, and BTW, the best cream I have ever found for healing skin is Bepanthen - expensive, but oh so worth it!)
I have a big spot on the outside of my vagina, but on the lower side. Its really painful and hurts when I do anything, even cough. I'm 13 and have had it for 2 days, and don't want to tell my mum because it would be awkward. I've had a virus and I'm just getting better now. It has pus all around it and is all red. What do I do, and will it go away?
The outside of my vagina is painfully itchy and has been for months. I have no idea what it could be as its not my hair abd i had it before i had sex..?
I have had a lump on my vagina lip for the last few months the last couple of days it seems to have got bigger and is tender to the touch now it never used to be I'm slightly worried.
