Hi I have had spots since i was about 12 and i am now 16. ive been waiting for them to clear up but hardly any of my friends have it anymore, it seems as if i'm the only one who still has this problem. they go in phases, sometimes they're all over my face, sometimes just in certain areas of my face, but annoyingly always on my face – so noticable. i was wondering if there are any specific gels or lotions you could suggest, i', using tea tree stuff at the moment, and moisturising, its ok but they are still there. they look worse than just teenage spots. i dont know what to do.
hi, i am 17 and i suffer with spots(blackheads and whiteheads). i have tried EVERYTHING! sometimes i can be spot free and sometimes i am covered in them, i can not stay constantly spot free! i am trying the "shine free" face wash, i was wondering if anyoone could suggest anything else?!
I'm 14 and I have acne on the top half of my back and it really got me down, and also on my face. I tried EEVRYTHING. Then I found one thing that worked and believe it or not, it wasnt a brand name. It was Tesco's value clear skin lotion. It's in a clear bottle and the lotion itself is pink. Wipe it over the affected area in the morning when you wake up and just before you go to bed. The acne on my face is practically gone, apart from the odd one or two spots. The acne on my back is clearing up. It will take time but it works! It also stopped my skin from becoming oily and greasy, it's amazing try it out. Plus, it's only something like 1 pound 99. Hope I helped.
Hi
Im 16 and have suffered from acne since I was 11. It can leave you feeling really paranoid and lead to a low self esteem. I felt so down that i went to my doctor. I tried Zineryt solution which was absolutely no good – it left my skin roaring red and irritated. I then tried Minocycline tablets and really didnt see a change so i stopped taking them. I was referred to a Dermotologist who put me on the pill. I also felt that was no good. She gave me a gel called Duac once daily gel. I apply this on the affected areas on my face and the spots go down within a day or two. This has made a big improvement to my skin. I used to use clearasal as a cleanser but i woudln't recommend it as it left my skin serverly dry and irritated. I personally recommend the Neutrogena range "Visibly Clear". I use the 2 in 1 cleasner, oil-free moisturiser and the gel. I now have a weekly routine of:
1. Steaming my face to open the pores
2. Exfoliating to remove dirt and dead cells
3. Applying my 2 in 1 cleanser ( leave it on as a mask for five minutes)
4. Rinse my face with cold water to close pores
5. Apply spot treatment.
Tip: Let your skin breathe.
Try not to wear foundation on a regular basis.
Hope this is a help .
i love squeezing spots especially when ya feel the yellow head pop out its amazing the ones on my bak are really painful tho…
Hi,
i do not really have spots i just ocasionally get the odd outburst of them, does this mean i will experience bad acne at some point.
thankyou.
Hi,
i'm 15 and i had real bad acne on my chin and for head at the ages 12 – 14. I used everthing to get rid of them, even the bid name brands like clearocel and freederm, but nothing would clear them up. My skin would be worst one week than the other. I was really paranoid at school and when i spoke to people they would look at my spots rather than my eyes or my mouth.
So i asked my mum to take me to our GP and he offered me lods of treatment but none of them worked. I came to the point where i actually mixed different creams in with tooth paste and soaps, and i would put masses of it on my face every night. But then i used Germolene and my face cleared up in no time. I would suggest to use it every night just before you go to bed and sleep with it on. Its cheap as well, where i live its 52p for a 30g tube.
The active ingredients if you want to know are:
Phenol 1.2% and Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.25%.
It also contains: cetostearyl alcohol, light liquid paraffin, polyoxyethylene stearyl ethers, colours (E124 and E110),dimeticone, methyl saliclyate and water.
If that dosn't work i would use Savlon which costs a tiny bit more but work just the same.
i'm 15 and my acne is quite weird
wen i squze my acne they actually go away and the ones that i do leave alone make the marks
is that normal
Hello.
i get quite a bit of acne on my face which is quite aoying but not as annoying as..
on my neck and upper back
i dance alot soo could it be related to the fact that i sweat alot??
I am 20 years old and used to have really bad spots, but now they seem to have cleared up a lot. I found that drinking lots of water and eating lots of healthy food such as fruits and vegetables is a good way to get rid of spots. Also, wash your face with cold water in the morning and hot water before you go to bed.
