You might not believe it, with our experience of the great British weather, but more people die of skin cancer in the UK than in Australia. In this exclusive guide, Dr Jessen stresses the importance of being familiar with our skin and any moles we might have, and provides simple and effective ways to check ourselves. He also advises on the safest way to enjoy the sun and dispels some myths along the way. You can’t catch the sun on a cloudy day? Think again…

Im 15 and I have a mole under my armpit, well its more like a group of them. I've had it for as long as I can remember but in recent years it has affected my confidence because it means I don't wear vest tops when I'd like to. Im would like to get the mole removed but i dont know the different ways that you can get it done. Help!

Heyy,
im a natural red head with a lot of freakles , can i get moles ?
if so how do i know if their cancerous or not?
theres so many to check ?
Any help ?
Eeek

I counted my moles, and i have roughly 176. Is this too many? They are in the most strange places, such as two on my palm.
Any advice?
Thanks

I have a cople of moles on my bodie and they get very itchy sometimes and go red , one also is 2 colours and is blotchy but im not sure if ther ok or not ?

Hi i have 3 moles one on my arm one on my leg and one on the side of my penis i hate it being there and its very embarrasing im 13 and not yet had sex and im worrying about what my partner would think do you have any advice ?

I have had a mole removed from my back i now have scar tissue that is bigger than the mole was, would i be able to have this removed also

Exellent !!!

I Have sumthing lyk this but i dunno if its it or not

i've just had a mole removed from my side because it changed color and size, it also was itchy and bled. to make sure i was not at risk i chose the option of having it 'cut out'. i had 7 stiches. i didn't realise how much discomfort i would be in afterwards and i can't do dance, sport or horseriding for 4 weeks :( my 3 passions! also, the nurses were vague when explaining dressings etc. and i was wondering if you could clear things up a bit with when to change them? thanks.

Good advice but some examples of what malignant moles look like would be helpful. Thanks

I had to make my other half watch this programme as he ignores the signs and he has three huge moles that i suspect are not good news but like most men he won't get it checked. I hope watching this he will succumb to my bullying and get them checked. If any person reading this feels the same get your friend, family, partner whoever checked if your suspicious after all it's your friends or family who have to bear the pain when cancer is diagnosed, Don't die of ignorance.
